NRA ACTION PISTOL RANGE IS READY FOR MATCHES! |

|
NRA GRANT AWARDED TO FHRPC!
The newly constructed NRA Action Pistol Range at the Fort Hill Rifle & Pistol Range was made possible in part by a range development grant awarded to the Fort Hill Rifle & Pistol Club, Inc. from the National Rifle Association, as well as donations from Brooks Atkinson and Atkinson Welding Contractors for the fabrication of the metal barricades, Terry Wilson and Miscellaneous Metals for the falling plate racks and the efforts of Chris Bennett and Gil-Simpson Contractors for site preparation. This range was an enormous undertaking and the following volunteers need to be recognized and congratulated for a job well done. Volunteers responsible for this effort include Jim Soulsby, Frank Snyder, Clayton Blume, Mark Van Tyne, Terry Barnes, Andy Barnes, Marvin Smith, Ron Smith, Terry Wilson, Will Balboa, Dave Thompson, Gary Dawson, Mike Shay, Wayne Belloff, Tom Langley, Bill Lewis, Wayne Conners, Dan Webster, Chuck Laurie, Red Fansler, Jay Cole, Joe Lechliter, Jim Painter, Mike Pannone, Greg McElfish, Mike Carney, and John Dowell. Informal practice matches will be held every Sunday in November (weather permitting) beginning at 10:00. Match fees are only $2.00 to cover the cost of the targets. So grab any handgun you have, and a few boxes of ammo, and come have some fun before it gets too cold!
Any type handgun can be used, revolver or semi-auto, any caliber, even .22, red dot scope or metallic sight, holster or no holster. You’ll need 48 rounds for each of the four different stages, the Practical, the Barricades, the Mover, and the Falling Plates. These are practice matches that are just for fun, so grab your gun and come on out and give it a try!
